Weakly interacting Bose gas in the one-dimensional limit.
We prepare a chemically and thermally one-dimensional (1D) quantum degenerate Bose gas in a single microtrap. We introduce a new interferometric method to distinguish the quasicondensate fraction of the gas from the thermal cloud at finite temperature. We reach temperatures down to kT≈0.5ℏω(⊥) (transverse oscillator eigenfrequency ω(⊥)) when collisional thermalization slows down as expected in ...
متن کاملDimensional Reduction of Two-Dimensional Anyons to a One-Dimensional Interacting Bose Gas
We conjecture that a two-dimensional anyon system reduces, when confined to a narrow channel, to a one-dimensional bose gas with a repulsive two-body δ-function interaction. We verify this conjecture in first-order perturbation theory near bosons. If the channel width is reduced to zero, the one-dimensional system is fermionic for all anyons other than bosons. متن کاملQuench dynamics of the interacting Bose gas in one dimension.
We obtain an exact expression for the time evolution of the interacting Bose gas following a quench from a generic initial state using the Yudson representation for integrable systems. We study the time evolution of the density and noise correlation for a small number of bosons and their asymptotic behavior for any number. We show that for any value of the coupling, as long as it is repulsive, ...
متن کاملOne-particle dynamical correlations in the one-dimensional Bose gas
The momentumand frequency-dependent one-body correlation function of the one-dimensional interacting Bose gas (Lieb-Liniger model) in the repulsive regime is studied using the Algebraic Bethe Ansatz and numerics. We first provide a determinant representation for the field form factor which is welladapted to numerical evaluation. The correlation function is then reconstructed to high accuracy fo...
متن کاملCalculation of Quasi-one-dimensional Interacting Electron Gas Using the Hartree-Fock Method
In this paper, the Hartree-Fock method has been formulated to investigate some of the ground state properties of quasi-one-dimensional interacting electron gas in the presence of the magnetic field. The bare coulomb interaction between electrons has been assumed. For this system, we have also computed some of its thermodynamic and magnetic properties such as the energy, pressure, incompressibil...
